Bucket List Adventure

Our tour guide Matt was amazing! Highly recommend this tour! A massive day but so worth it! Hobbiton is incredible and the Waitomo Caves also a must see!

An excellent way to see and learn more about New Zealand in comfort

As soon as we scheduled this trip, the first thing I did was look for this tour! Cheeky Kiwi Travel exceeded my expectations! The tour down to the sites was comfortable, and I learned a lot about the country and the various information about the tour sites. A comfort stop was included on each long drive, which was very helpful. The lunch stop was outstanding as well. If I travel to this area again, I would consider using them for any other tours. Thanks for the excellent day in New Zealand.

Great tour and great guide

Great tour. Hobiton and the glow worm cave was amazing. Lunch was provided as part of the tour and I especially liked that we were given a budget and then able to choose our own lunch. Grant was a great guide. He started the tour with fun introductions, water and a snack. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and gave us recommendations for things to do, see and eat in Auckland. He even made a recommendation for a favorite ice cream flavor at the ice cream stop. All in all, a wonderful day.

Hobbiton and waitomo caves

I had an incredible experience on this tour! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, informative, and genuinely enjoyable. The sights were beautiful, and we never felt rushed there was plenty of time to explore, take photos, and really soak in each stop.

worth every penny and more

The accomodation was very comfortable. they even provided refreshments and snacks on long ride. Our driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. great tour for lord of the rings lovers

Metallica Week and the Hobbiton and Glow Worm Tour, thanks Cheeky Michael!

Thanks CHEEKY MICHAEL, our tour guide for an amazing tour of the Glow Worm Caves and Hobbiton. It was worth every penny sent. First off, our tour guide Cheeky Michael was professional, drove well, and was very entertaining. He made the trip a 10! We visited the Glow Worm caves which was pretty cool. The highlight of the tour was the Lord of the Rings Hobbiton where we were able to spend about 2.5 hours walking around the hobbit houses from the movie. Bring your walking shoes and a water bottle. They have umbrellas to borrow, a tour guide, a free beer (or Ginger Beer for the non-alcoholic drinkers). Cheeky also provides a $25 lunch at Hobbiton which comes out to a meat pie, a dessert, and a drink. The drive back to Auckland took a bit longer since it was a Friday afternoon but we got back in time for dinner (7pm). All in all a perfect tour. Let Cheeky Kiwi do the work. The vans have power outlets so bring a cord if you need, they provide water and snacks. They also pick up at the hotels in the CBD.

MAGICAL TRIP OF THE YEAR

We went with guide Dave and he was great in guiding us through the day! He was super cheerful & excited as a person. And the trip was magical too!! Waitomo Cave was insanely beautiful & Hobbiton Movie Set Tour was 100% FUN. Dave also got us to stop at a swing bridge, & ice cream shop.

Fantastic tour!

We had an amazing guide, Matt. Very knowledgeable about New Zealand history. Made our tour that much more interesting. Hobbiton was fun. Had gingerbeer at the Green Dragon. Very tasty. Stopped for a great lunch. Then on to the glow worm caves. Amazing! Then on the return trip, stopped for local honey. Highly recommend this tour. We had a fantastic day.

Amazing experience

Great tour!!!

Glow worm caves were awesome. Hobbiton exceeded all expectations, even for someone who hasn’t seen the movies. The farm land itself is a beautiful sight, even without the movie set! Our tour guide was extremely nice and did an outstanding job maximizing our time.
